Save by Taking Advantage of HVAC Rebates

Replacing your HVAC system can be costly, but there are ways to lower the price without sacrificing quality. You can save money on installation costs by taking advantage of available HVAC rebates and special offers. Keep in mind that you’ll need to meet certain requirements in order to qualify, and these incentives typically have expiration dates.

Columbia Gas of Ohio

Columbia Gas of Ohio offers instant HVAC rebates for residential customers. Those who have a natural gas furnace with 96 percent or higher efficiency installed before Dec. 31, 2016 by participating contractors are eligible for a rebate of $300. Those who have incomes that are at or below 150 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines might be eligible for free heating system repairs or replacements through the WarmChoice program.

The Energy Cooperative

The Energy Cooperative offers rebates for eligible residential customers in Ohio who have certain types of energy-efficient HVAC systems installed. These systems typically include dual fuel heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps, and central air conditioners. Customers who meet eligibility requirements can receive a rebate for up to $599 on dual fuel heat pump installation, up to $599 for geothermal heat pump installation and up to $100 for central air conditioning installation.

ECO-Link Program

The Energy Conservation for Ohioans (ECO-Link) program offers financing at reduced rates for the installation of qualifying energy-efficient or renewable energy equipment. This program provides eligible Ohio residents with a 3 percent loan rate reduction on qualifying technology, such as air-source heat pumps, furnaces, geothermal heat pumps, and central air conditioners. This is an ongoing program that is available for Ohio residents who own single-family homes.
