What Brand of Patio AC Is Best to Keep Your Porch Cool?

By Angie Lyczkowski | Published: August 5, 2021

With temperatures rising in Ohio, hanging out on your patio with friends and family can get a little uncomfortable. That’s why many homeowners turn to a patio AC (aka a evaporative cooler) for comfort. These units typically use refrigerant fluid and a compressor to deliver cold air. Here are the best patio AC brands and models around:

Honeywell CO30XE

Many homeowners are already aware of Honeywell’s quality, so this should come as no surprise. Their units are extremely weather-resistant and are built to last. The CO30XE portable model is especially popular and works in a range of 525 to 1,540 CFM (cubic feet per minute).

Hessaire MC37M

With two fan speeds and a range of 3,100 to 5,300 CFM, the Hessaire MC37M can deliver comfort to a variety of outdoor spaces. This particular model offers allergen protection, which is perfect for those who are worried about pollutants being circulated through the air.

Cool-Space 36-VD

If you’re looking for a model with a lot of power, the bragging rights definitely go to this baby. It clocks in at a whopping 9,700 CFM, letting you cool off a large patio up to 3,600 square feet.

Evapolar Portable

If your home has a small patio, this is the unit you may want to consider. Low in price and easy to move around, this portable unit is able to maintain comfort in a modest 45 square feet. While that may not sound like much space, you’ll save money for small areas and use less energy.

Luma EC110S Portable

With enough power (500 CFM) to cool 250 square feet, this portable unit costs more than the Evapolar but can cover more than five times the space. It’s also eco-friendly and has three fan speeds and remote control, giving it a few options often reserved for larger units.

A patio AC can make a huge difference in comfort when you’re spending time outside with family and friends. If you have any questions about the patio AC units listed here or need other HVAC assistance, reach out to the friendly professionals at Energy 1 Heating & Air Conditioning.
